Product information "SpaBalancer pH Tester"

With the SpaBalancer electronic pH tester you can measure the exact pH value of your spa. Due to the built-in measuring diode, the device can be calibrated exactly. To the device is supplied 2x ready calibration liquid.

Further below you will find instructions on how to calibrate the pH tester from SpaBalancer.

Specifications:

  • Measuring range: 0.00- 14.00 pH
  • Accuracy: +/- 0.1 pH
  • Temperature range: 0°- 60° Celsius
  • Calibration: Automatic three-point calibration
  • Dimensions: 155mm x 29 mm x 13 mm
  • Weight: 50g

Operation:

  1. Remove cover cap.
  2. Switch on the instrument at the upper switch.
  3. Calibrate PH tester (absolutely at start-up, thereafter every 4 weeks).
  4. To measure, immerse the measuring diode in the water and stir a little. Immerse the measuring diode until the value on the display no longer changes.
  5. After the measurement, place the cover cap over the measuring diode which is still exposed. Important: The measuring diode should not dry out.
  6. Switch off the instrument.

Calibration:

  • Switch on the PH tester.
  • Hold the measuring diode in calibration solution (solution should not be warmer than 25° Celsius).
  • Press the "CAL" key for 5 seconds. When the display shows 7.0, the pH tester has been recalibrated. If the key was pressed for too little time, the numbers may begin to "jump".
  • Recalibrate the pH tester every 4 weeks.

Maintenance and storage:

If the pH tester has not been used for a long period of time or the measuring diode has been exposed to air, the readings may be slow and not regular. To remedy this, place the measuring diode in a glass filled with water for a few hours. Important: The measuring diode is easily fragile and should be handled with care.

Caution: Only immerse the measuring diode in water, not the entire device! This prevents water from entering the display/battery compartment.

Low battery charge:

If the value on the display is no longer sharp or not shown at all, the battery (3x 1.5V LR44 button cell) should be changed. The supplied batteries were only used for test purposes and may have already discharged by the time of delivery.
