Saving Electricity on Your Hot Tub, Swim Spa or Pool
SAVING ELECTRICITY AT YOUR WHIRLPOOL, SWIM SPA OR POOL
.Saving electricity is more important than ever these days. Even though our hydropool hot tubs and swim spas are very economical, there are still one or two things you can save on electricity.
To that end, below are our tips for effectively saving electricity on your hot tub or swim spa:
1) When winterizing, make sure your hot tub / swim spa is completely covered. The important thing here is that the cover is fully intact.
A damaged, leaking cover ensures no optimal insulation, which can lead to higher energy consumption. An intact cover also ensures that the acrylic tub is not damaged by sunlight, and that neither snow nor foreign objects can enter the pool.

2) If not used for a long time (10 days or more), it is advisable to lower the base temperature to at least 15 degrees. Unsere service technicians can also lower your HYDROPOOL to 7 degrees on request, to save even more energy.
3) Instead of using normal house electricity, you can also heat your hot tub or swim spa with a heat pump. This requires up to 4x less electricity, which equates to about 1/4 less electricity consumption per year. For this we recommend our models HP1100 Green Inverter Pro Compact 10.8 kW and HP1500 Green Inverter Pro Compact 15 kW
